This is the first ever bottling of Tamdhu single malt Scotch whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company.
Aged for 28 years in Ex-Sherry casks and the label is a reference to the fact that Tamdhu is the only distillery that continues to use a saladin box to malt its barley, featuring a shadow-boxing Prince Saladin sporting a mighty fine beard.
Batch 1 is a release of 270 bottles.
A very clean and well balanced Speyside with the oak so well integrated here, a summery walk past a cake shop of a malt.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Golden sultanas, apricot glaze, pineapple upside down cake, lemon icing, sugar puff cereal with almond milk, vanilla wafers, custard powder, fresh barley fields and ripe honeydew melon.
Palate
Almond/frangipane cake like mix delivery with baking spices, pineapple chunk sweets, more golden sultana and syrup sponge pudding and custard. All butter croissants with apricot jam, some late spice/fizzy sherbet dip like notes.
Finish
Apricot danish pastries, almond nougart, dried/candied tropical fruit, grilled white grapefruit with icing sugar and some sherbet dip/custard powder.
