Tamdhu That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 28 Year Old
Out of stock
This is the first ever bottling of Tamdhu single malt Scotch whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company.
Aged for 28 years in Ex-Sherry casks and the label is a reference to the fact that Tamdhu is the only distillery that continues to use a saladin box to malt its barley, featuring a shadow-boxing Prince Saladin sporting a mighty fine beard.
Batch 1 is a release of 270 bottles.
A very clean and well balanced Speyside with the oak so well integrated here, a summery walk past a cake shop of a malt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold glints and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Golden sultanas and apricot glaze meet pineapple upside-down cake, lemon icing and vanilla wafers. A kiss of custard powder and sugar-puffed cereals with almond milk lends soft sweetness, while fresh barley fields and ripe honeydew melon keep the aroma crisp, sunlit and inviting.
Palate
Almond and frangipane lift the palate with a cake-like richness, infused by baking spices. Pineapple chunks and golden sultanas drift through syrupy sponge and vanilla custard, while buttered croissant notes carry a kiss of apricot jam. Finishes with a delicate fizz of sherbet and a warm, lingering spice.
Finish
Apricot Danish pastries, almond nougat, and dried candied tropical fruits linger, with a grilled white grapefruit note dusted in icing sugar and a sherbet-dip of custard powder.
