Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany edges, a warm, aged-wood glow.
Nose
Polished oak and vintage leather frame a lush sherried fruit core. Dried apricot, fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, almond and a touch of cacao. Nutmeg and cinnamon drift in on satin sweetness, revealing regal Strathisla character aged in treasured sherry casks.
Palate
Silky and deeply mature, this Strathisla coats the tongue with fig and prune, layered over orange zest and toasted almond. Sherry influence brings dark chocolate, espresso and a touch of salted caramel, while refined oak and spice—nutmeg and clove—frame a long, elegant finish of dried fruit and cedar.
Finish
Velvety and remarkably long, this finish reveals sherry-softened fruit—apricot and fig—layered over polished oak. Hints of leather, cocoa, and almond drift with warm spice, tapering to a gentle sweetness that lingers in a refined, resinous glow.
