Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery mahogany depth.
Nose
Aromas of rich dried fruits—prune, fig, and raisin—meld with zesty orange, almond paste, and a touch of toffee. The first-fill sherry casts a warm, velvety cloak of cacao, toasted nuts, and spice, while polished oak and a hint of leather lend old, dignified depth.
Palate
Silky and full on the palate, it coats with a luxurious sherried warmth. Dark fruit—fig, prune and raisin—meets toffee, cocoa and espresso, lifted by orange zest and gentle spice. Velvet oak and a hint of almond lend polish, while the finish carries walnut, leather and a final kiss of cocoa.
Finish
An extended, opulent finish with dark fruit, cocoa and toffee, lifted by orange zest and warm spice. First-fill sherry depth lingers on the palate, leaving polished oak, leather and nutmeg in a silky, enduring echo.
