A reincarnation for Gordon and Macphail's Distillery Label Strathisla, always a popular whisky for those looking for a smooth, sweet Speysider. This independent bottling of Strathisla was distilled in 2006, matured by G&M, and then bottled in 2019, an extra 3 years on the previous versionl. Sweet Sherry influences with stewed fruit and hints of cocoa. Peppery on the palate with apple, cinnamon, grapefruit and dark chocolate. A trace of roasted nuts on the finish.

Sweet sherry-nuanced aroma with stewed orchard fruits and a subtle cocoa undertone, touched by a whisper of roasted nuts. Warm, inviting and indulgent, hinting at depth to follow.
Palate
Peppery and bright, with crisp apple and grapefruit edged by cinnamon, underpinned by sweet sherry and stewed fruit. Cocoa notes deepen the palate, then a trace of roasted nuts lingers alongside dark chocolate on the finish.
Finish
Trace roasted nuts linger on the finish, softly rounded by cocoa and a whisper of dark chocolate. A gentle pepper warmth remains, fading to a refined, nutty afterglow.
