Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge, a rich, sun-warmed glow.
Nose
An elegant sherried bouquet of ripe plum and fig with orange zest, resting on polished oak. Nutty hazelnut and almond mingle with cacao, vanilla, and a kiss of spice—nutmeg and cinnamon—while a whisper of leather and raisin treacle lingers. A refined, time-worn aroma that speaks of a quiet, patient maturation.
Palate
Silky and suave on the palate, this 32-year-old unfurls a sherried tapestry of fig and raisin, dried orange zest, and walnut. The silk coats the tongue, yielding to warm spice—cinnamon, clove—and a sly note of cocoa and almond. Oak is refined, chalky tannins present but gentle. The finish is long, velvety, with lingering fruit and a quiet echo of elderwood.
Finish
Long, refined finish that lingers with sherry sweetness—sun-dried fig and raisin, cocoa nib, and red-fruit notes, braided with warm oak and gentle spice. The glow softens into velvet tannins, leaving a lingering almond and tobacco hush.
