Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany at the rim, a burnished sherry-tinted bronze in the glass.
Nose
An elegant oak-rich bouquet with date and fig glistening beneath a sherried sweetness. Dried cherries, prunes and orange zest unfold over walnut-tinged nuttiness, while cocoa, spice and a whisper of leather lend a poised, mature glow.
Palate
Silky, refined on the palate with sherry-tinged fruit: dried fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, almond paste and soft toffee. Gentle spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—adds lift over light oak. Elegant, well-balanced and persistent, with a poised finish and a final whisper of cocoa.
Finish
Silky, extended finish of dark chocolate and dried fig, with sherry-sweetness weaving through toasted almond and cocoa. Spices—cinnamon and clove—warm the palate before a final kiss of oak and leather, leaving a refined, lingering velvet impression.
