Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery-red notes and a tawny, rum-kissed glow.
Nose
Salty coastal smoke frames bright barley, with a gentle peat nuance. Rum-cask maturation infuses tropical warmth—banana, coconut, and toffee—plus vanilla and spice. Subtle dark chocolate notes emerge as sweetness lingers, while lacquered wood and dried fruit add depth, finishing with a warm, lingering coastal sweetness.
Palate
Opulent and powerful, the palate greets with rum-kissed sweetness—molasses, toffee, dried banana and raisin—woven with Springbank’s coastal peat, salted caramel and vanilla. A thick, oily mouthfeel coats the tongue, while allspice, clove and cinnamon inject spice. The finish is long and warming, with pronounced rum influence and a whisper of smoke lingering.
Finish
Long, warming finish carried by the rum cask influence: dark molasses and toffee giving way to baked banana and dried tropical fruit, with vanilla and spice woven through. A soft peaty echo and coastal oak linger, finishing in a warm, resinous, maritime glow that slowly fades.
