Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depths and coppery-bronze highlights.
Nose
Coastal peat and waxy sea air mingle with a sherry-rich glow. Dried figs, raisins and orange zest unfold alongside dark chocolate and toasted almond. A whisper of vanilla and oak resin adds polish, while a subtle briny smoke lingers on the finish, revealing Springbank’s maritime pedigree and the depth of a well-kept cask.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, this 27-year-old Springbank offers thick sherried fruit—fig, raisin, dark cherry—woven with coastal brine and a whisper of peat. Praline, dark chocolate, and toasted almond mingle with warm oak spice as the alcohol coats the palate. The finish is long and luxurious, with dried fruit, cocoa, and mineral notes lingering alongside a subtle tobacco thread.
Finish
Long, warming finish with persistent sherried sweetness and coastal smoke; dark fruit, fig and cocoa weave through seasoned oak, while leather and sea-salt notes linger, slowly fading into a soft, refined echo.
