Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper and mahogany undertones, a warm, sherry-kissed golden glow.
Nose
Coastal peat and sea-salt ride over a rich sherry backbone, with dried figs, raisins and cocoa mingling with toffee and vanilla. Hints of orange zest and baked apple brighten the depth, while waxy oak, burnt sugar, and a touch of medicinal smoke echo Springbank’s maritime, peated elegance.
Palate
Full-bodied and waxy, it greets the palate with maritime smoke and bold peat, tempered by dark sherry fruit. Raisins and fig mingle with salted caramel, cocoa nibs, and peppery spice, while resinous oak lends grip. A warming thread of citrus zest and ginger stretches into a long, drying finish of peat, brine, and oak.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with rich sherry sweetness—figs and raisins—woven with coastal peat. Dark chocolate notes mingle with toasted oak and pepper, letting warmth linger into a resinous, salt-kissed echo that fades slowly.
