Colour

Nose

Rich sherry-driven nose with a maritime lift: treacle-like fig and raisin, orange zest, and dried apricot layered over toasted almond and cacao nibs. Velvet vanilla, cinnamon, and clove weave through oak and warm honey, while a delicate sea breeze and salted caramel impart coastal freshness. The 58.5% strength lends assertive depth to the aroma, inviting a slow, refined draw.

Palate

Full-bodied and richly sherried, this 12-year-old Scapa coats the palate with dark fruit—raisins, fig, plum—plus cacao, orange zest, and vanilla oak. Toasted almond and warm spice (cinnamon, clove) add depth, while a subtle maritime salt lifts the finish. At cask strength, it stays bold and long, with honeyed sweetness and spiced oak echoing through the aftertaste.

Finish

Long and warming, the finish reveals sherry-soaked fruit, toffee and dark chocolate, with almond sweetness lingering. Maritime brine and peppery spice thread through the oak, drying the palate into a velvety, nutty afterglow that slowly fades.
