Tasting Notes

Colour

Bright golden straw with a delicate amber shimmer.

Nose

An elegant perfume of orchard fruit and spring flowers, with lemon zest, pear and green apple rising over honeyed wax. Subtle sherry influence lends dried fruit and almond sweetness, while light barley spice and polished oak linger on a silky, fresh finish.

Palate

Silky and floral, orchard fruits—green apple and pear with a citrus lift—slide over honeyed malt. A waxy mouthfeel carries vanilla and light spice, while refined sherry influence adds almond notes and a whisper of drying fruit, finishing long and poised.

Finish

Long, citrus-led finish with green apple and honey, folded with subtle almond and wax. A delicate sherry warmth lingers, thinning into a silky, lightly drying finale.

(Rose-BANK) Famous for very high quality, triple distilled malt, Rosebank Distillery can be found on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. With the exception of war time closures, Rosebank distilled until 1993 when it was closed, seemingly for good. Naturally over time bottlings have become scarce.
