-Isle Of Raasay Single Malt - First Batch Whisky
This lightly peated dram showcases Raasay Distillery's innovative six-part maturation. Two Isle of Raasay spirits – peated and unpeated – combine with three distinct cask types – Rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine casks – to create a single malt with real depth and complexity.
Isle Of Raasay Hebridean Gin
From the Raasay Distillery, Isle Of Raasay Hebridean Gin is handcrafted and combines ten carefully chosen botanicals, including handpicked Raasay juniper, orange peel & rhubarb root alongside their own triple distilled Raasay spirit.
The resulting liquid is a fresh and aromatic gin with a strong juniper backbone complimented by rich rhubarb and sweet citrus. We recommend serving with a premium tonic, fresh orange peel and plenty of ice!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with coppery highlights from the First Batch whisky, hinting at depth from sherry and oak; the Hebridean Gin is crystal-clear, a pristine colorless glow beside it.
Nose
Bright juniper, citrus peel, and rhubarb root from the Hebridean Gin, with orange zest and herbal lift weaving through piney, resinous notes. In the background, the First Batch Whisky contributes a subtle peat haze, vanilla, toasted oak, rye spice, and a touch of Bordeaux-red fruit, edged by maritime smoke. A coastal, layered bouquet that is aromatic, elegant, and inviting.
Palate
Lightly peated and layered, the palate opens with rye-spice warmth beneath a delicate smokiness. Chinkapin oak lends creamy vanilla and subtle tannin, while Bordeaux red-wine cask influence adds red-fruit richness—plum and blackberry—with cocoa and spice. The finish is long and polished, a harmonious echo of smoke, oak, and fruit.
Finish
Long, refined finish of light peat, drifting into dark fruit and red-wine tannins from the Bordeaux cask. Rye spice and vanilla echo on the palate, with toasty oak and a subtle coastal smoke that lingers, warm and elegantly dry.
