A very moreish single grain that is looking great for its age.
Distilled 1/6/1974 and bottled at natural cask strength 47.1% ABV.
Only 228 bottles released.
Great value old single grain from this Lowland distillery, especially when you consider last years 52 year old Diageo special release sold for over £700 and now pretty much sold out everywhere.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with honeyed warmth and a subtle coppery glow.
Nose
Banana bread, caramel fudge and bread-and-butter pudding mingle with hot-buttered French toast. Crunchy nut cornflakes with almond milk bring cereal warmth, while chocolate digestives dipped in ginger latte add a spiced chocolate note. Vanilla and toffee wafers finish with warm, creamy sweetness.
Palate
Juicy raisin leads the palate, balanced by butterscotch and clove honey. Toasted hazelnuts add warmth, while chocolate waffles with breakfast syrup bring depth, finishing with caramelised banana and a lingering sweetness.
Finish
A decadent, lingering finish of chocolate-covered raisins and orange cocktail bitters, underscored by clove and cinnamon spice, then praline and toffee sauce, with a final nod to Tunnock’s wafer bars.
