Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber gold with coppery warmth and a touch of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma with toasted malt at the base. Rich fig, plum and orange zest mingle with toffee and almond, while cinnamon and clove add a spark of spice. Subtle tobacco and polished leather emerge as the wood sings, hinting at Benrinnes’ first-fill sherry influence and a mellow old-cask elegance. A luxurious, circus-inspired bouquet that promises depth and grace.
Palate
Silky and mellow on the palate, with malty sweetness layered over a rich sherry backbone. Juicy red-apple and raisin glide into figs and toffee, then dark chocolate and toasted almond emerge. Benrinnes influence lends honeyed spice and a soft oak frame, with velvet mouthfeel and a long, warm, sherry-kissed finish.
Finish
Long, velvety and generous, the finish drapes the palate in polished sherry sweetness layered with malt and gentle spice. Dried fig and cocoa notes emerge, with orange zest peeking through the oak; it lingers, slowly fading to a warm caramel and toasted-nut glow.
