Autumn 2017 sees the latest Limited Edition release from renowned Whiskymaker John Glaser & Compass Box.
Phenomenology has been bottled at 46%abv and limited to 7,908 bottles worldwide and packaged in a funky surrealist/Daliesque box.
A mystery mix of Blended malts from five different sources with the main component making up 72% of the blend.

The main thrust of this lovely blended malt is waxy orchard fruits with elegant spice and subtle smoke so i would guess some Highland and Island mix, but hey..decide for yourself.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bronze-amber with honey-gold depth and coppery highlights, a warm, sunlit glow that gleams with ember-warmth.
Nose
Waxy candied fruits, cold cuts of meat, ginger, whiff of smoke, apricot glaze, aromatic spices and freshly polished wood.
Palate
Waxily layered, the palate unveils orchard fruits with a drizzle of white chocolate, followed by juicy currants and spicy raisins. Aromatic honey broadens the sweetness, finishing with a salted toffee-apple lift.
Finish
An oily, lingering finish where white chocolate silkiness mingles with peppery orchard fruits, barley sugar and aromatic spices, lifted by beeswax and a delicate wisp of smoke.
