Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery highlights and a mahogany shimmer—a warm, inviting glow hinting at sherry-aged depth.
Nose
A refined, honeyed bouquet of vanilla and toffee with almond and warm oak. Delicate dried fruit—apricot and sultana—emerge with citrus zest and a whisper of spice, all carried on a soft grain sweetness. Elegant, poised, and quietly luxurious.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate at cask strength, where creamy vanilla and golden toffee mingle with dried fruit and orange zest. Subtle oak spice arrives with finesse, caressing the sweetness rather than overpowering it, and a delicate almond note lingers. The finish is long, warm, and quietly refined, with a touch of chocolate.
Finish
Long and sumptuous, the finish coats the palate with velvet oak and roasted almond, unfolding dark fruit of fig and raisin, a touch of cocoa and spice. The warmth lingers, evolving into a softly dry, leather-tinged harmony that gradually fades to a refined, sweet quiet.
