Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights.
Nose
Delicate, fragrant nose of lemon zest and ripe apples, entwined with honeyed cereals, soft vanilla, and a whisper of waxy oak. Hints of almond and dried fruit lend a graceful, bygone elegance.
Palate
Silky and elegant, the palate opens with orchard fruits—plums and pear—soft toffee and almond, lifted by a sherried sweetness. Subtle spice ribbons of white pepper and cinnamon weave through cocoa and toasted oak. The finish is long and refined, with a warm glow of leather and dried fruit lingering alongside toasted nut notes.
Finish
Long and quietly majestic, the finish lingers with sherry-soft sweetness and warm oak. Dried fig and raisin unfold into dark chocolate, toasted spice, and a whisper of leather, then gradually fade to a smooth, nutty barley sweetness. A refined, contemplative tail that clings with dignified warmth.
