Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, sun-kissed glow.
Nose
A maritime Islay nose of peat bog, gorse, pine and birch, enriched by peat smoke, ash and sea spray, with subtle hints of coffee, apple and pear.
Palate
Peat smoke dominates the palate, joined by maritime brine and sea spray. Date, burnt sugar and molasses lend a dark sweetness, while liquorice threads through the mid-palate, finished with a chili- and ginger-kick that lingers with coastal warmth.
Finish
Long, maritime peat smoke lingers, edged by sea spray and ash. Dried date and burnt sugar deepen into molasses, while liquorice, chili and ginger ignite a final, peppery warmth that fades to a coastal, smoky echo.
