Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with copper-bronze reflections and a warm, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
An aromatic torrent of peat smoke, sea air and bonfire embers. Iodine and medicinal notes ride the breeze, while dark honeyed sherry sweetness mingles with salted caramel, dried fig and cocoa. Subtle orange zest and vanilla lift the sweetness, with a whisper of leather and oak anchoring the Islay intensity.
Palate
Full-bodied and intensely peated, with maritime peat and iodine that coats the palate. Sherry sweetness appears as raisin, fig and dark chocolate, tempered by espresso-like bitterness. Notes of salted caramel, vanilla and spice deepen the smoke, while cacao nibs and leather add depth. The finish is long, smoky and peppery, with sea-salt lingering.
Finish
Long, maritime peat lingers, mingling with briny sea air as the finish settles into dark chocolate, candied orange, and warming spice. A velvety trail of oak and smoke slowly fades to a sweet, coastal echo.
