The second release of Bruichladdich's Port Charlotte 10 year old. This whisky has been matured in an array of casks, ex bourbon, sherry, tempranillo and French oak wine casks!
Very fruity on the nose with berry, pear, mango and banana, underpinned by coastal smokiness. The palate is like a burnt summerberry pie, vanilla and smoke intermingle with blue and blackberries, toffee, treacle and oaky smoke. The finish has a touch of sweetness and spice.

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm sunset-gold hue.
Nose
Fruit-forward on the nose: berry, pear, mango and banana mingle with coastal smoke. A broad cask influence—bourbon, sherry, Tempranillo and French oak wine casks—offers vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of sweetness, layered over marine-mineral notes and sea air.
Palate
Burnt summerberry pie on the palate, where vanilla and smoke mingle with blue and blackberries, toffee, treacle and rich oaky smoke.
Finish
Long, silky finish with a gentle sweetness and spice, carried by vanilla warmth, burnt summerberry notes, toffee and treacle, then fading to a soft coastal smoke and lingering oak warmth.
