Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber-gold with a rich mahogany depth and a coppery, wine-bronze glow.
Nose
Dark sherry cloaks the nose, with ripe plum and fig, dried fruit and raisins, braided with caramel and cocoa. A touch of almond and toffee sweetness underpinned by polished oak and a whisper of spice and leather.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, the palate unfolds with sherry-soaked dark fruit: prune, fig and blackberry, lined with cocoa, almond paste and toffee. Spices rise: clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, while leather and oak add ballast. The finish is long, warming, and elegant, echoing a subtle tobacco note that lingers lavishly.
Finish
Long and opulent, the finish drapes warm spice over dark fig and cocoa, with sherry-dark fruit notes lingering on velvety oak. A touch of almond and leather trails away as the palate sighs into a refined, enduring glow.
