Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep golden amber with coppery undertones and a whisper of mahogany bronze at the edge.
Nose
Opulent nose of briny coastal air entwined with rich sherry influence. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate, while cinnamon and clove drift over polished oak. Leather, tobacco and a whisper of vanilla add depth, as sea-salt notes thread through the finish.
Palate
Opulent and powerful, the palate uncoils with dried fig and raisin, treacly sherry sweetness, and dark chocolate, lifted by vanilla and toffee from the American oak. Subtle citrus zest and spice—orange peel, cinnamon—thread through a whisper of maritime salt. Full-bodied and velvety, it coats the tongue at cask strength, finishing long with rich oak, fruit, and sherry depth.
Finish
Long, stately finish with coastal brine and sea-spray lingering in the background. Sherry-matured fruit notes—fig, dried orange, raisin—fade into caramel and toffee, then a refined spice and oak that persist. Full-cask warmth tapers slowly, leaving a gravely-sweet glow with hints of cocoa and leather.
