North Port (silent) Connoisseurs Choice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 17 Year Old · 1981 Vintage
Out of stock
One of the many distilleries to close between 1983-1985 that left only two in the south east Highlands (Fettercairn and Glencadam) also known as Brechin and few bottles of either exist as official bottles so this Indie bottle from one of the oldest independent bottle companies is a great way to try this long lost malt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold sheen and a touch of mahogany, a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
A lush bouquet of dried fig and plum, raisin and orange zest, balanced by toffee and vanilla. Cocoa nibs and toasted almond layer with polished oak, while gentle spice (cinnamon, clove) adds lift. A subtle sherried warmth rounds the aroma, hinting at long-aging and a refined, old-cask elegance.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, the palate opens with dark fruit—fig, raisin, plum—paired with luxuriously rich toffee and cocoa. Sherry influence threads warm oak spice, orange zest and a hint of almond. Velvet texture with gentle tannins, finishing long and refined, with walnut, leather and tobacco echoes.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with velvety sweetness and sherried depth. Raisin, fig and orange peel unfold gradually, entwined with dark chocolate and toasted almond. Gentle cinnamon and spice linger over supple oak, fading to a refined warmth that coats the palate long after the last sip.
