Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber, burnished and rich, with mahogany depth and coppery highlights.
Nose
Opulent sherry-sweet nose with dark fruit and cocoa: plump raisins, dried figs, and black cherries weave with orange zest and roasted almond. Rich toffee, caramel, and mocha mingle with polished oak, while spice and a gentle, warming alcohol lift lend a poised, regal intensity.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this palate glides with a glossy, oily mouthfeel. Dark sherry envelopes ripe plum, raisin and fig, knit with burnt sugar, cocoa and a whisper of coffee. Spices rise—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—alongside rich oak, cedar and a hint of leather. The 61.2% ABV sits warmly but integrated, leaving a long, plush finish of fruit, spice and cocoa-tinged warmth.
Finish
Long, velvety finish infused with sherry sweetness: dried figs and raisins unfold into dark chocolate and espresso, while warm cinnamon and nutmeg spores drift through toasted oak. The 61.2% ABV leaves a gentle, peppery glow that lingers, tapering to a sophisticated prune-leather warmth and a final note of cocoa.
