Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery sheen and a honey-gold glow, edged by rich mahogany.
Nose
Smoked, maritime aromas meet fruit-forward warmth. Yoichi provides tobacco-tinged smoke and char, while Miyagikyo pours orchard brightness—ripe apples and pears—wrapped in vanilla, honey and light toffee. Subtle spice and a touch of oak knit the bouquet, with a whisper of saline ash that hints at an age-stamped elegance.
Palate
Smoky Yoichi meets Miyagikyo’s fruit-forward profile on the palate: ripe apple and pear with vanilla, honeyed caramel, and gentle oak spice. A creamy middle gives way to a lingering, balanced smoke, lifted by a citrusy brightness.
Finish
Long, graceful finish where smoke from Yoichi lingers with Miyagikyo’s fruity sweetness, weaving vanilla and light oak into a warm, enduring tail; a soft ember fades slowly, leaving a delicate, refined balance.
