Colour

Nose

Opulent sherry-drenched nose with dried fig, prune and raisin, joined by orange zest, dark cherry and plum. Cocoa, toffee and toasted oak provide richness, while leather, nutmeg and clove add spice. A waxy, mineral undertone lingers, all elevated by Mortlach’s venerable age and the 50.5% ABV.

Palate

Silky, full-bodied and waxy on the palate, this Mortlach carries rich sherry sheen with prune, fig and plum merging with dark chocolate, espresso and toffee. Cinnamon and clove spice thread through leather and oak, adding warmth and depth. The finish is long and refined, with nutty notes, cocoa and dried fruit lingering gracefully.

Long, warming finish of polished oak and spice, with dried fig and prune, hints of cocoa and leather, and a sherry-tinged sweetness. The tail lingers elegantly, cedar-toned and softly fading into refined warmth.
