This Limited Edition release is a ‘World- First’ for Irish Whiskey; a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey aged in Bourbon Barrels and finished in Virgin Hungarian Oak.

The quest for uncommon casks led Midleton to the Carpathian Mountains of Hungary and the rich volcanic soils that give rise to Quercus Petraea, Virgin Hungarian Oak and Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey – a curious combination, with a very special outcome.

Tasting Notes

Colour

A lustrous copper-amber hue, kissed with honey-gold highlights and a whisper of mahogany.

Nose

Aromas of treacle toffee unfold with toasted coconut and a gentle undercurrent of campfire ashes, weaving caramel sweetness with smoky warmth.

Palate

Silky smooth richness unfolds on the palate, pairing bittersweet liquorice with dry woodland notes. Elegant and restrained, it lingers with a gentle, earthy warmth.

Finish

An elegant finish that gradually releases dissipating spice, balanced by toasted oak. A cool mountain mist lingers, leaving a refined warmth and a soft, lingering breath on the tongue.
