Single Pot Still and a single Ruby Port Pipe don’t meet every day. But 28 years ago, Midleton posited a theory that the two could harmonise quite nicely over time. Theory confirmed, as you’ll see upon first sip. This Limited Edition release is a ‘World- First’ for Irish Whiskey; a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey aged for 6 years in Bourbon Barrels and then re-casked for a further 22 Years in a Ruby Port Cask.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Dense ruby red with a wine-dark core and copper-amber highlights along the rim.

Nose

Fleshy mango, kiwi and green banana with ripe plums.

Palate

Silky vanilla and warm cinnamon unfold on the palate, backed by lush port wine. Subtle barley grains lend a grainy nuance, adding structure and a quietly spiced, lingering sweetness.

Finish

Lingering succulent fruits, toasted oak and a gentle spice linger on the finish, delivering a refined, enduring impression.
