Colour
Jet-black and opaque, a glossy midnight pool of deep ebony.
Nose
An inky, seductive nose of dark chocolate, espresso and treacle, lifted by dried fig and plum. Sherry-softened oak, vanilla and caramel unfold with orange zest and toasted spice, while a whisper of leather and molasses deepens the perfume into a luxurious, dessert-like impression.
Palate
Silky and indulgent on the palate, this Loch Dhu reveals a dark fruit core of fig, plum and raisin, laced with molasses and cocoa. Sherried vanilla and toffee mingle with polished oak, while cinnamon and ginger provide warm spice. The finish is long and refined, with a gentle bitter edge and a lingering chocolatey espresso sweetness.
Finish
Long and decadent, with treacle and dark chocolate giving way to dried fruit and orange zest. A gentle sherry sweetness lingers, paired with soft oak spice and a whisper of smoke, finishing in a warm cocoa glow.
