A new limited edition Mackmyra Swedish Single Malt. This has been matured in old Scotch Strong Ale casks and has been bottled at 46.1%abv. They have also used their peated recipe for this whisky. This has a salty coastal character with an oily texture.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a sunlit gold edge.
Nose
Peat-smoked with coastal brine and sea spray, a touch of iodine. Roasted malt, caramel and vanilla from the ale cask mingle with a waxy, oily depth, while a gentle smoke lingers. Maritime and briny, it promises Winter Smoke’s bold seaside character.
Palate
Salty, coastal smoke coats the palate, with briny mineral notes and a brisk peat presence, carried on a lightly oily, mouth-coating texture. Rich malt sweetness from the Strong Ale casks hints at caramel and dark fruit, while subtle mineral and ash lift the finish, which lingers with warming peat and oceanic salt.
Finish
Long, maritime finish of briny sea-salt and coastal smoke, with a peaty echo. An oily, mouth-coating layer lingers, softly warming to reveal mineral undertones and a refined coastal dryness.
