Mackmyra Vinterglod (Winter Ember) is inspired by the Swedish winter tradition of drinking mulled wine during the colder months of the year. Vinterglod carries notes of orange, candied fruit and almond, together with oak and a ginger-like spiciness. The aromatic profile of the Whisky comes from its aging in casks that previously held Swedish mulled wine and pedro ximenez sherry.

Nose
Vibrant orange zest and candied fruit rise with a creamy almond note, balanced by warm oak. A ginger-like spice threads through the aroma, enriched by the influence of Swedish mulled-wine and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, leaving a softly sweet, festive warmth in the air.
Palate
Bright orange zest and candied fruit sparkle on the palate, joined by almond warmth and rich oak. Ginger-spiced notes weave through a sherry-influenced sweetness, adding dried-fruit depth and a lingering festive warmth.
Finish
Long and warm, the finish carries orange zest and candied fruit with almond and oak. Ginger-like spice lingers, amplified by Pedro Ximenez and mulled-wine sweetness from the cask, fading to a soft, comforting ember.
