In this second and limited edition of Svensk Rök, Mackmyra's smokey whisky has been matured exclusively in new casks of American oak. This gives the whisky prominent notes of vanilla and herbs – A welcome contrast to the bold notes of peat, juniper and tar.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm golden amber, with a rich honey glow and a soft coppery shimmer.
Nose
Layered smoke and spice rise over vanilla-soaked oak. Peat and juniper mingle with toasted oak, while mineral-salted air and a touch of tar deepen the aroma. Tobacco leaves unfold beside pear fudge, ginger and a hint of arrak sweetness, all carried by a glossy vanilla backdrop.
Palate
Peat and juniper mingle with a saline bite as smoke tightens on the palate, more pronounced than the nose suggested. Vanilla and toasted oak ride a peppery spiciness, with notes of pickled figs and pear fudge. Medium-bodied, chewy oak, and a lingering, smoky finish.
Finish
Spicy, smoky and oaky to the finish, with tar and tobacco leaves and bright notes of pickled figs and pear fudge.
