This excellent Single Malt Whisky from Swedish distillery Mackmyra was released to mark "40 years of eardrum crushing" by the legendary rock band Motörhead. The whisky was matured in Vigin American Oak barrels for 5 years with a portion then finished for 6 months in Olorosso Sherry Casks.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-bronze highlights and a burnished mahogany edge, touched by a glint of rosy-gold.
Nose
Aromas unfold with warm vanilla and creamy toffee from virgin American oak, buoyed by orchard fruit and citrus zest. Subtle sherry-finished notes emerge—dark raisin, fig and almond, mingling with spice and toasted oak.
Palate
Silky on the palate, it opens with creamy vanilla and caramel from virgin American oak, then unfolds dusky sherried richness: dark raisins, fig, almond, cocoa, and a touch of orange zest. Spices—cinnamon and clove—wink through the middle before a long, warm finish of toffee, walnut and oak.
Finish
Long, warming finish with rich Oloroso sherry sweetness—dried fig, raisin and cocoa backed by vanilla and toasted oak. A velvety, nutty sweetness lingers with subtle spice, gradually fading into a warm, resonant echo.
