Moment Körsbärsrök is a smoky whisky with a peaty spiciness and sweet notes of cherry. The recipe of the whisky is made from a combination of our smoky and unsmoked newmake, where both was distilled at Mackmyra Bruk in the year of 2010. The smoky new-make was aged in ex-Bourbon casks in the sizes 100 to 200 litres. The unsmoked part was aged in ex-Bourbon and American oak casks seasoned with German cherry wine. The medium sweet cherry wine is perfect for caskseasoning, and gives the whisky fruity, intense notes of cherry.

Colour
Golden amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Peat smoke envelops the nose, warming with peppery spice, then unfurls lush cherry sweetness—ripe cherry wine, cherry cordial, and hints of vanilla-touched oak from Bourbon cask aging.
Palate
On the palate, peaty smoke and a peppery spiciness give way to generous cherry sweetness. The blend of smoky and unsmoked newmake, aged in ex-Bourbon and cherry-wine-seasoned oak, layers fruity intensity with notes of ripe cherry. Medium-bodied and silky, it finishes with a lingering cherry warmth braided with smoke and subtle spice.
Finish
Long, smoky finish where peat meets cherry, a warm red-fruit sweetness winding through spice and oak, slowly fading into a soft, resinous echo.
