Another interesting cask finish from the ever adventurous Mackmyra distillery from Sweden, this time a trio of Oloroso Sherry, PX Sherry and finished in cherry wine casks for around 10 months with the age of the malt being around eight years old.
Liquid cherry bakewells anybody? exceedingly good whisky and deangerously easy drinking.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a ruby-tinted edge, rich and inviting in the glass.
Nose
Floral rose petals, cherry, frangipane, plum jam, and rose Turkish delight.
Palate
Bright cherry pie and rosewater lead the palate, woven with Turkish delight spice and fragrant, aromatic notes, finished with a subtle touch of sweet tobacco.
Finish
Cherry bakewell richness lingers, with juicy red fruits—especially cherry—dusted with vanilla and aromatic spice; a warm, confection-like finish that coats the palate and invites another sip.
