Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm mahogany core and burnished, ruby-tinted edges.
Nose
Peat smoke drapes the aroma, over sun-warmed barley and a whisper of sea spray. Vanilla, honeyed toffee and almond mingle with citrus zest, while dried fruit and cocoa hint at sherry sweetness. A waxy, mineral backbone adds elegance, finishing in a refined, lingering peat presence.
Palate
Peat-forward and boldly smoky, this Campbeltown beauty coats the palate with rich sherry sweetness. Dried fruit, dark chocolate and treacle mingle with roasted nuts, orange zest, and a hint of iodine. Salted caramel threads through the mid-palate, while maritime brine and peppery spice lift the finish, leaving a long, warming echo of peat and cocoa.
Finish
Peat-driven smoke lingers with sherried warmth, opening to dried fruit, cocoa and spice. The finish stays creamy yet steadfast, with toasted oak and a coastal iodine tang that slowly tapers to a long, resinous glow.
