An extremly rare Lochside bottled by Gordon & MacPhail under their “Connoisseurs Choice” range, this Lochside Single Malt Whisky distilled in the last year of production is becoming very rare.
Lochside began production in 1957. It had a column still which allowed both malt and grain whisky to be produced. While the distillery closed in 1991, it was later demolished and the site used for housing.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery highlights and a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Sweet, with toasted malt notes that drift softly on the nose.
Palate
On the palate, heavy sweetness dominates, wrapped in warming spice and toasted malt. A rich, biscuity core carries honeyed depth through the mid-palate, finishing with a drying, malty warmth.
Finish
A drying finish that lingers with a restrained echo of malt and spice, gradually fading to a clean, crisp palate.
