Nose

Soft peat smoke from ex-peated Islay casks mingles with a bonfire glow, weaving cherry blossom and citrus zest through the aroma. The red-wine cask influence adds a touch of ruby fruit and gentle spice, for a warm, refined nose.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied, and gently peated, the palate carries mellow bonfire smoke with red-wine warmth. Ripe cherry blossom and citrus zest rise, supported by subtle spice, finishing with a soft ember and a fresh citrus linger.

Finish

Long and delicate, the finish smolders with gentle bonfire smoke, tapering to cherry blossom and citrus zest. Subtle red-wine warmth lingers, leaving a refined fruit-and-spice echo.

Lochlea
(loch-LEE) Lochlea is a relatively young distillery, but its setting gives it a much deeper story than most modern names. Distillation began in 2018 at Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, on land worked by Robert Burns between 1777 and 1784 during some of his formative years. That farm connection remains central to the distillery’s identity, with Lochlea producing a genuine single estate whisky made from barley grown on the family farm rather than sourced more widely.
