The Red Wine Cask release is presented as an annual limited-edition expression inspired by the finishing of mature spirit in red wine casks. Each year introduces a different interpretation, shaped by the casks selected to best complement the house style.

For the second release, whisky matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels is further finished in carefully selected Sangiovese casks. The result is a sweet, velvety whisky with notes of honey and gentle spice, leading to a finish of ripe red berries and moreish nutty character.

Lochlea
(loch-LEE) Lochlea is a relatively young distillery, but its setting gives it a much deeper story than most modern names. Distillation began in 2018 at Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire, on land worked by Robert Burns between 1777 and 1784 during some of his formative years. That farm connection remains central to the distillery’s identity, with Lochlea producing a genuine single estate whisky made from barley grown on the family farm rather than sourced more widely.
