This seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar. In our Harvest Edition (Second Crop), they have carefully selected Port casks, STR barriques and first-fill Bourbon barrels to offer a deliciously different twist this year. In comparison to Harvest Edition (First Crop), they have incorporated a much higher proportion of Port casks to enhance the whisky’s creaminess, whilst also introducing a delightful peppery spice from the STR barriques. The second in a new set of four limited editions, this whisky is inspired by the end of summer, when golden barley is harvested and eventually used for the next year’s production.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with a honeyed glow and coppery edges, accented by ruby-tinged highlights.
Nose
Opulent dates and ripe red grapes lift from the glass, embraced by thick-cut marmalade. A lush, jammy sweetness lingers with sun-warmed fruit.
Palate
On the palate, pink peppercorns mingle with dried fruit—fig, date and apricot—settling into a creamy, subtly spiced frame that lingers with warmth and a gentle fruity sweetness.
Finish
Long, creamy and luxurious, the finish coats the palate with velvet port sweetness, while a peppery twirl from the STR barriques lingers. Subtle vanilla and dried fruit fade into a warm, refined afterglow.
