Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with warm copper highlights and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Opulent nose of orange zest, pear and honeyed malt, vanilla pod and toasted oak, with a hint of sherry-dried fruit. Spices—ginger and clove—rise over cocoa and almond, creating a warm, inviting aroma.
Palate
Rich and full-bodied with a velvet mouthfeel, this Linkwood delivers sherry-tinged sweetness through dried plum, fig and orange zest. Vanilla, caramel and toasted oak weave with cinnamon and clove, while peppery warmth lingers from the elevated ABV. The finish is long and chocolatey, lightly nutty, with almond notes and a final whisper of spice.
Finish
Sherry-kissed and long, this finish unfolds with warm oak and dark fruit. Dried fig and orange peel lead to cocoa, almond and spice—cinnamon and clove—drifting into a velvety, lingering fade. The high ABV sustains a mouth-coating warmth, leaving a polished, orchard-fresh afterglow.
