Ledaig That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #11 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old
Out of stock
Older bottlings of Ledaig are something of a favourite here at HTFW towers. With a mix of big earthy peat, savoury texture and developed fruit, there's an awful lot to like. Also with the rise in price of older peaty whiskies (noteably Islay) Tobermory (Leadaig being the name of the peated variant) offers excellent value and bang for your whisky buck, if you're looking for 2 decades worth of peaty goodness.
This, the 11th batch from TBWC is a 21 year old bottled at 48.7% abv. This is sweet and confected on the nose, with toffee, syrup and pastry aromas mingling with a savoury and salty element. The palate is dense and weighty with a rich oaky flavour, backed up by earthy peat, polished leather and tropical fruit. The finish is long with a mix of sweet milk chocolate, chilli heat and coastal sea spray.
