Aromas of honey roasted ham, ash, tobacco, macadamia, and something very south shore Islay. Coconut milk, green strawberries and a dense, mouth filling sootiness swathe the palate. Hints of aromatic seeds and flowers through sweet, smoky waves of peat on the finish.
(Le-Chig) Ledaig is the heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky made at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. The name means “safe haven” and was the original name used when John Sinclair founded the distillery in 1798, making it one of Scotland’s older surviving distilling sites.
