Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, a rich, sherried glow.
Nose
Smoked peat and sea-salt breeze dominate the nose, delivering a bold, savory core with a touch of brine. Beneath, dried plums and pears emerge with subtle sherry-tinged sweetness, while herbal oak and a whisper of iodine add polish to a maritime, deeply characterful aroma.
Palate
Rich and oily on the palate, it delivers a bold wave of peat smoke tempered by saline, maritime brightness. A savoury, meaty core sits atop roasted barley, with hints of iodine. Sherry-influenced fruit — prune, fig, orange peel — weave through dark chocolate and espresso notes. The warmth builds to a long, drying finish of smoke, salted caramel and peppery spice.
Finish
Long, smoky finish that coats the palate in savory warmth. Peat remains with a coastal, saline bite, while subtle fruit notes emerge in the tail, lingering softly before a dry, refined fade.
