This is a beautiful bottling is abundant in coastal character. Allowed to mature in a single sherry cask for 30 years, there is plently of fruit forward notes, balanced by savoury brine and a hint of minerality.

In present day we know Ledaig as the delightfully peaty expression from the Tobermory distillery. Originally however, the name of Ledaig was used for this Isle of Mull distillery when established in 1798 by John Sinclair. Meaning “Safe Haven” in Gaelic, the production of Ledaig and Tobermory Whisky is split 50/50. The character of Ledaig traditionally is sweet and oily with a heavy reek of earthy smoke. This bold, punchy peat monster can go toe to toe with the finest peated whiskies from Islay.
