A fabulous 21 Year Old Ledaig bottled as part of Distell's 2020 Limited Release series. Distilled in 1998 and finished in sweet Marsala wine casks. This is a oily, smoky and sweet Ledaig, that is sure to be a winner, following in the footsteps of the popular Manzanilla finished release from 2019.
Super balance between distilate and cask, with neither dominating creating a superbly balanced Ledaig.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany edge, a honey-gold core radiating a wine-kissed, smoky glow.
Nose
Bonfire ashes, smoky hoisin, roasted cashew nuts and cured meat, with a subtle lifted perfumed note.
Palate
Dry, oily and slightly gritty, with a resinous, textured mouthfeel. Smoke remains present but restrained, allowing the Marsala influence to lend depth and a touch of sweetness, unfolding into subtle chocolate and salted-nut undertones.
Finish
A very long finish that unfolds with a gentle sweetness balanced by dryness, warming the palate and lingering softly. Marsala’s nuance threads through, leaving a refined, chocolatey-nutty warmth that slowly fades.
