Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery glow and mahogany edges.
Nose
Bold peat smoke and iodine lead the aroma, carried on a maritime spray of sea salt. Layered beneath, rich sherry fruit—raisin, fig, dark chocolate—melds with vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of leather. Subtle medicinal notes and tobacco add depth, while a bright citrus lift keeps the intensity balanced.
Palate
Bold, cask-strength peat smoke dominates, with medicinal iodine and sea-salt brushing the tongue. Sherry-cask influence delivers dark raisin, fig, cocoa and caramel, weaving through vanilla oak. Rich, warming and full-bodied, the palate closes with ash, leather and peppery spice in a long maritime finish.
Finish
Long, warming and maritime, the peat lingers with saline smoke. Sherry depth threads through dark fruit and cocoa, while iodine and pepper keep the tail bright. Oak ash dries the palate to a resinous finish, leaving a final echo of sea air and warm, peaty embers.
