Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with sunlit honey tones and coppery glints.
Nose
Peat smoke with a maritime sea-air and iodine bite, a true Islay signature. Layered within is vanilla and toffee from ex-bourbon, warmed by toasted American white oak, with a whisper of creamy spice and a bright citrus lift that keeps the smoke elegantly afloat.
Palate
Smoke, iodine and sea-brine first touch the tongue, softened by creamy vanilla and toffee from ex-bourbon maturation. The mid-palate offers gentle oak, warm spice and citrus zest, building to a clean, lingering peat finish with mineral and saline echoes and a touch of sweetness.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish opens with peat smoke and maritime brine, then unfolds vanilla-kissed sweetness from the bourbon cask, balanced by toasted oak and spice. It lingers with a soft iodine lift and cocoa-dark undertones, gradually fading to a clean, oak-tinted conclusion.
