Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep ruby with burnished copper undertones and a warm amber shimmer.
Nose
Smoked cherry bakewell cake, smokey bacon crisps, sooty and tarry dried fruits (raisin and dates), earthy cranberry, prawn crackers, and red chilli-like spice.
Palate
Smoked and peppery red berries mingle with earthy dried fruits, red liquorice and sooty cranberry. Subtle floral notes drift through, while strawberry and hibiscus syrup lend a gentle, berry-sweet edge on the palate.
Finish
A savoury, smoked bacon note lingers with peppery red berries, sooty anise and glace cherries. Shortbread rests on an earthy peat bog, leaving a fruity, approachable Laphroaig that isn’t medicinal.
