Lagg Manzanilla Cask Small Batch Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Produced at Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran, this peated single malt was initially matured in a combination of first and second-fill bourbon barrels. It was then transferred into first-fill Manzanilla sherry casks for more than a year, bringing a dry, coastal character to Lagg’s rich peat smoke, with layers of citrus, green olive, sea salt, spice and subtle fruit sweetness.
Bottled at cask strength at 57.6% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, this limited small batch release produced 2,000 bottles.

Colour
Golden straw with a warm, sunlit amber glow.
Nose
Briny sea air threads through bright citrus zest and almond-touched chalk, with a delicate Manzanilla tang lending subtle oxidized fruit notes. Hints of vanilla, toasted grain, and a whisper of smoke linger on the finish.
Finish
Long, elegant finish with saline tang and nutty sweetness from the Manzanilla cask. Dried citrus and almond linger, balanced by a gentle spice and a whisper of oak, leaving a warm, velvety glow that persists.
